“I hate music.” Inspired by Bartok’s Bluebeard’s Castle and containing music from Bartok with original compositions by Adam Sherkin, Room of Keys is a one act play from David James Brock about a man who follows clues left by his father’s estate to a secret and abandoned music shop. Once there, their divided history unravels through seven instruments and memories, where music and silence are not always beautiful.
